Be brave.
Mistakes are part of learning.

On Nisg̱a’a Lands, many people of all ages have some knowledge of the Nisg̱a’a language and there is a high level of interest in learning the language right across our society.

Nisg̱a’a is currently taught in our schools and Nisg̱a’a language classes for adults are offered through WWNI. A Nisg̱a’a language app is archived at the Online Aboriginal Database at FirstVoices.com. This media rich, bilingual dictionary and phrase collector has 3,875 Nisg̱a’a words and 1,041 Nisg̱a’a phrases.

In the year 2025, there are over 360 fluent Nisg̱a’a speakers. The endurance of the Nisg̱a’a language speaks to the dedication of our elders and teachers—and our collective effort to keep our language at the forefront of everything we do.
